“I always like to start from the score. I try to free myself from what I have already internalised through frequent listening to certain works, so that I can approach the music faithfully to what is written in the score. I do not like to interpret works in a certain way simply because ‘that’s how they are done’, or because I have always heard them that way. I want to find the key to each work anew, every time.”
“My orchestral experience has been a constant throughout my violin training, from youth ensembles to more advanced orchestras, where I explored the great orchestral repertoire. This is an experience I still hold very close to me today in my role as a conductor.”
