“At the podium, young Diego Ceretta (born in 1996) conducts the score with taste, varying the nuances as required, with the Orchestra of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna in excellent form. The tempi of the Overture are judiciously slowed at times to facilitate the clarinet, oboe and flute solos, while the tutti sections subsequently burst forth with breadth and power, without ever becoming excessive.”
